I'm Aishina Shaffer, and I'm a journalist, communicator, and designer based out of Washington, D.C.

I graduated cum laude from West Virginia University in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in journalism. There, I majored in strategic communications, with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in interactive design for media. I graduated from American University in 2021 with a master’s degree in in Journalism and Digital Storytelling.

I'm passionate about immersive storytelling, social justice, arts education and brand communications. I've got experience with a wide range of Adobe products, graphic design, web design and development, photography, videography, social media strategy, academic recruitment, and 360 video production.

In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, reading, fiction writing, traveling, listening to podcasts and exploring the applications of new media. I’m currently the Essentials Communications Specialist for the American Association of Colleges of Nursing.
